Festive Felt, Yuletide Yarn & Christmas Crafting

Rainbow Jane is off on an adventure for the month of October, so before I go, I've started thinking about festive crafting — and sessions are already in the calendar for November and December!

The final planning will be done when I'm back, but this blog will give you a flavour of what we'll be doing and, importantly, the dates for your diary.

Sunday 22 November – Festive Felt and Yuletide Yarn

This is the session where all the festive die cutters come out, along with plenty of felt! There'll be felt trees, stockings and baubles, and a myriad of shimmering threads and glittering sequins.

There's also a wonderful selection of festive cottons to include in your creations, along with star buttons and beads.

Come with your own ideas, or use the examples and inspiration in the Art Shed to get you started.

Sunday 20 December – Christmas Crafternoon! 🎄

This session is all about celebrating Christmas together with lots of fun crafting.

There'll be some quick and easy crafts using tinsel pipe-cleaners, small MDF trees and bauble shapes, as well as baubles to decorate with decoupage, sequins and plenty of festive sparkle.

Rainbow Jane sessions are always friendly and relaxed, but as this is our final craft day before Christmas, there'll also be mulled wine (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic), mince pies, and the usual tea, coffee and biscuits.

Booking the adult sessions

These sessions are held in my Art Shed, so spaces are limited to 8 and must be booked in advance.

Payment is 'as you feel' on the day, to help cover the cost of materials. Where additional money is raised, Rainbow Jane supports Alzheimer's Society and Zarach.

These sessions involve small and sometimes sharp items, so they aren't suitable for small children. If you think your child would enjoy the session, please contact me first and I can advise you.

Festive Family Story & Art 📚🎨

For all the family, Rainbow Jane has special Festive Family Story & Art sessions.

We begin with a short story, paying particular attention to its message and illustrations. Then we head to the Art Shed and create, inspired by what we've read.

For our festive sessions, we'll be taking inspiration from Christmas trees and snowflakes — both of which open up all sorts of creative possibilities!

All the materials for a selection of crafts and artwork are provided, along with instructions, examples and inspiration.

These sessions are designed for adults and children to be creative together, with parents/carers encouraging and supporting their child or children during the session.

Places are limited to 8 people per session, and places need to be pre-booked for both adults and children.

Payment is 'as you feel' at the session, to help cover material costs, with any additional donations going to Zarach. Dates for your diary - make sure to book them on the Rainbow Jane calendar, or contact me.

Bespoke Festive Sessions

In addition to the scheduled sessions, Rainbow Jane is happy to provide bespoke festive crafting sessions for small family, children's or adult groups.

Refreshments can be provided by Rainbow Jane, or you can bring along your own drinks, nibbles and food and turn it into your own little crafting party.
