Wool and Waffle at Rainbow Jane 🌈🧶

Join Rainbow Jane on Sunday May 31st for another cosy and colourful creative session, with gatherings at 1pm and 3pm.

This time, we’ll be creating with wool, threads, beads, and sequins in a rainbow of colours, textures, and shades. There will be lots of inspiring materials and examples to spark ideas, and Rainbow Jane will be on hand to support you in learning the basics of loom knitting and simple crochet.

Jane is definitely not an expert knitter or crocheter — just someone who loves to play, experiment, and create — so this is a relaxed and welcoming space where everyone can have a go without worrying about perfection.

For those wanting to finish a project during the session, there will be opportunities to:

• create a small garland of pompoms,

• make crochet flowers and leaves,

• bead a felt brooch,

• try some free-form embroidery,

• or bring along an item to embellish and decorate.
  

  

  
  

For those happy to take a project away and continue creating at home, you can learn how to loom knit or begin a simple crochet project. Rainbow Jane is very happy to loan out hooks and looms, and you’re welcome to dip into her colourful stash of materials too.

You’re also very welcome to bring your own knitting, crochet, sewing, or creative project and simply enjoy the company of other creative people over tea, coffee, biscuits… and, if the glorious weather continues, maybe even ice cream too! ☀️🍦

As always, payment is “as you feel” to help cover material costs, and any additional funds will be donated to Zarach. 💛

These sessions are all about creativity, conversation, colour, and community — a chance to slow down, make something joyful, and enjoy creating together.
